Every sentence, tied back to its source.

Highlight a claim in a brief, a thesis or an invoice review. Tie It Back finds the page in your sources that says it, and warns you when a number, a name or a "not" doesn't match.

SOURCE — Pinned to this passage

Click any highlighted claim. Use ← → to move between them.

From your sentence to the page that says it.

You don't search, tab through exhibits, or squint at page 14. Here's what happens.

1

Highlight what you wrote.

Your brief, your thesis, your audit notes, or the draft an AI wrote for you. Drop it on one side and select any sentence.

2

Tie It Back opens the page that says it.

It reads every file on the other side, including scans and phone photos, and goes straight to the passage. The rest of the page fades back so the words that matter stand out.

3

And it speaks up when the words don't match.

When the wording is close, a different number, a different name or a missing "not" is flagged and kept out of the top match levels. It can still miss things, so always read the source page yourself.

Made for anyone whose name goes on the document.

If one wrong number or misquoted source would cost you, this is the second read you wanted.

Law firms and solo attorneys

Check every fact in a brief against the record before you file, not after opposing counsel does.

Students and researchers

Make sure each citation says what your paper says it says, especially in a draft an AI helped write.

Business and billing reviews

Hold each invoice line up against the contract it's billed under, line by line.

Private because it never leaves your computer.

Tie It Back does its reading and matching inside your web browser. There's no upload and no account.

Your files stay with you
Documents are read on your own computer. Nothing is sent to us.
Fixed rules, not guesses
Match levels come from fixed rules about words, names, dates and amounts. Text inside a document can't talk its way into a match.
Erase when you're done
The ⋯ menu has "Erase everything on this computer," which removes every file and highlight it kept.

Questions people ask first

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?

No. Tie It Back reads your files inside your web browser, on your own computer. Nothing is sent to us. You can erase everything it saved with one click.

Is this legal advice?

No. Tie It Back is software that shows you where your sources say something. It isn't a law firm. Always read the source page yourself before you rely on it.

Does AI decide what counts as a match?

No. Match levels come from fixed rules: word for word, almost word for word, the same names, dates or amounts, and related wording. When the wording is close, a different number, name or "not" is flagged. It can miss differences, especially when the two passages are worded very differently, so always read the source.

What kinds of files work?

PDFs, scanned pages, phone photos of documents, screenshots, Word (.docx) files and plain text. Typed pages read best. Handwriting is hit or miss for now.

Can I use it with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini?

Today you can copy your linked quotes, with their page numbers, and paste them into any AI chat. Direct connections are in development.

Does it work on a phone?

It opens on phones, but it's built for a computer, where your document and your source sit side by side. Phone support is still early.

Read it once. Know where every word came from.
